Thirty-five years’ experience as a marketing executive turned stock broker turned Realtor have taught me several valuable lessons: understanding my clients’ goals requires inquisitiveness and three times more listening than talking; achieving outstanding results demands strategic thinking and creating a clear plan of action effectively executed; and bringing a complex transaction like buying or selling a home to a successful end means ensuring the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed. All that said, earning your trust and respect and creating the long-term relationship that comes from achieving success for you is my biggest reward.
I’m happy and excited to help first time buyers and folks with unique circumstances achieve their goal of home ownership. Even if you think it’s impossible to buy your own home, there are numerous strategies and programs available to help you reach your dream. If you’re a seller who wants a Realtor who will tell you what you need to hear instead of what you want to hear, please call me. I’ll do the work to make sure your home is priced right and marketed to catch buyers’ attention and get them excited to schedule a showing and make an offer.
My wife Sara (she’s a Realtor in our office, too) and I met at UVA (Go Hoos!) and have called Richmond home since 1985. We were Carytown residents for six years and have enjoyed living in Stratford Hills ever since. Our son Spencer, now 31 and a resident of Dallas, and our sweet but naughty little dogs Angus and Matilda round out our family. When we’re not working…which is hardly ever…we enjoy traveling to Europe, the Caribbean, the South Carolina and Georgia coasts, and Palm Springs. Sara is a much better tennis player than I am, but I try to hit the fuzzy ball when the opportunity presents itself. I also enjoy cooking, American history, and pursuit of the perfect Manhattan cocktail!
